Orange's Performance Highlights

The game saw the Syracuse Orange putting up a valiant effort against their opponents. Despite trailing behind, they managed to score 13 points in both the first and second quarters and improved their performance by adding 20 points in the third quarter. However, they could only muster 12 points in the final quarter, which wasn't enough to bridge the gap created by Stanford's consistent scoring.

From an individual standpoint, Georgia Woolley stood out for Syracuse with her team-high of 18 points alongside five rebounds and two steals. Izabel Varejão also made notable contributions with six points, five rebounds, and two steals. Kyra Wood added seven points and three rebounds but struggled with turnovers which slightly marred her overall impact on the game.

Stanford Cardinal's Dominant Display

On the other side of the court, Stanford Cardinal showcased why they were formidable opponents on their home ground. They opened strongly with 27 points in just the first quarter and maintained steady momentum throughout each quarter. Their efficiency from both inside and beyond the arc was evident as they shot at an impressive fifty percent from field goals while converting forty-six percent of their three-point attempts into scores.

The home team also excelled defensively by recording nine steals compared to Syracuse’s seven and capitalized on turnovers by scoring twenty points off them. Their coordinated play was further highlighted through twenty-one assists over Syracuse’s eight assists throughout this contest.

Looking Ahead

As Syracuse Orange looks ahead to their next challenge against California Golden Bears at Haas Pavilion on February 16th at 6:00 PM EDT, fans are eager for a turnaround performance that can put them back on track this season. The upcoming game promises another opportunity for redemption as it will be broadcasted live on ACC Network for fans wishing to support from afar or catch every moment of action live.
