Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both teams tightened their defenses. The Orange managed to outscore the Tigers with 16 points compared to Auburn's 6, thanks to improved free-throw shooting at an impressive rate of 82 percent overall. This allowed Syracuse to close the gap and head into halftime with momentum on their side.

Third Quarter

The third quarter was evenly matched as both teams scored 17 points each. Uche Izoje stood out for Syracuse with her defensive prowess, contributing significantly with blocks and rebounds that kept her team competitive against a persistent Auburn offense.

Fourth Quarter

As tensions rose in the fourth quarter, both teams scored another set of equal points—12 each—leading to a tie that pushed them into overtime. Dominique Darius played a crucial role for Syracuse during this period by adding vital assists and maintaining pressure on Auburn's defense.

Overtime

In overtime, it was all about resilience from Syracuse as they surged ahead by scoring 14 points while limiting Auburn to just eight. Journey Thompson made key plays that helped secure possession and ultimately led her team towards victory. The final score read: Syracuse Orange vs Auburn Tigers final score was 66-60.

Despite turnovers being an issue throughout for both sides—the Orange had a total of 23 while Auburn had more at 27—it was ultimately what went wrong for Syracuse Orange earlier in regulation that they corrected during overtime which made all difference.

Looking forward, fans can catch the next game where 'the' Orange will face SMU Mustangs on December 7th at Moody Coliseum in Dallas at around noon Eastern Time via ACC Network Extra online broadcast platform.
