TCU Horned Frogs Dominate Oral Roberts Golden Eagles at Schollmaier Arena in Women's Basketball Showdown

In a commanding display of basketball, the TCU Horned Frogs outplayed the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles with a final score of 76-56. The home team's season record now stands at an impressive 1-0, while the visiting Golden Eagles fall to 0-1.

TCU Horned Frogs VS Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers

The game, held at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, saw the TCU Horned Frogs take an early lead and maintain their dominance throughout. The first quarter ended with TCU ahead by twelve points, setting the tone for the rest of the match. The home team continued to build on their lead with consistent scoring in each quarter: 20, 18, 23 and finally closing with 15 points in the fourth.

The Horned Frogs showcased a balanced offensive and defensive performance. They shot an efficient field goal percentage of forty-four percent and were particularly effective from beyond the arc, hitting nine three-pointers at a thirty-nine percent clip. Their free throw accuracy was also notable as they made thirteen out of seventeen attempts for a seventy-six percent completion rate.

Defensively, TCU was just as formidable; they amassed eight blocks and five steals over four quarters. Their rebounding was strong on both ends of the court with forty-three total rebounds—thirty defensive and ten offensive—which contributed to fourteen second-chance points.

The Golden Eagles struggled to find their rhythm against TCU's staunch defense. They managed only fifty-six points throughout four quarters—eight in Q1 followed by nineteen in Q2 then eleven in Q3 before picking up eighteen points as they tried to rally back in Q4—but it wasn't enough to challenge TCU's lead.

Oral Roberts shot thirty-two percent from field goals overall but had difficulty from long range where they made only three out of eighteen attempts for seventeen percent accuracy. Despite this struggle from distance, they did manage to score thirty-eight points inside paint thanks largely due to their aggressive play which earned them seventy percent free throw shooting on ten attempts.

As fans look forward towards future games after such a strong start by their team; attention turns towards next matchup where Texas Christian University will face off against Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas at Schollmaier Arena once again on November ninth scheduled for seven-thirty PM local time (Central Time). Fans unable attend can catch action live since there are no broadcast networks listed yet for this upcoming game.
