Temple Owls Dominate at Liacouras Center in Women's Basketball Showdown Against Delaware State Hornets

In a commanding display of basketball, the Temple University Owls outperformed the Delaware State Hornets with a final score of 109-43. The home team's record now stands at an impressive 1-0, while the visiting Hornets have fallen to 0-1.

Old Dominion Monarchs VS Temple Owls

The Owls took control early on, ending the first quarter with a substantial lead and maintaining their dominance throughout each subsequent quarter. Their offensive execution was nearly flawless, with a field goal percentage of 54 and an even more impressive two-point shooting rate of 63 percent. The team's free throw accuracy was also notable at roughly 79 percent.

Defensively, Temple University was just as formidable. They amassed a total of 46 rebounds compared to Delaware State's 23 and executed an astounding number of steals totaling 14. This defensive pressure contributed to the Hornets' high turnover count, which reached an unfortunate total of 28 for the visitors.

The Owls capitalized on these turnovers by scoring an overwhelming 45 points off them. Additionally, they dominated in fast break situations with a tally of 20 points and showed their strength inside by scoring nearly half their points in the paint.

Temple University’s teamwork shone through as well; they distributed the ball effectively for a total of 26 assists while keeping their own turnovers to just six. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an exceptional level above four.

On individual performances, every player who stepped onto the court contributed positively to this comprehensive victory for Temple University. The collective effort resulted in twelve successful three-point shots out of thirty-one attempts – translating into approximately a solid rate above thirty-eight percent from beyond the arc.

While Delaware State did show resilience by improving their scoring output after a slow start in the first quarter, it wasn't enough against Temple’s relentless advance. Despite shooting around sixty-nine percent from free throws and making six three-pointers themselves, they struggled overall with field goal accuracy landing at about thirty-one percent.

As fans look ahead after this resounding win for Temple University Women’s Basketball Team, attention turns towards their next challenge: hosting Georgetown Hoyas at Liacouras Center on November tenth at eight o'clock PM Eastern Time – another opportunity for fans to support their team live or tune into local broadcasts for coverage.
