Old Dominion Monarchs VS Temple Owls

From the onset, the Temple Owls established dominance on both ends of the court. They started strong in the first quarter with 15 points and continued to build on their lead throughout the game. By halftime, they had accumulated 32 points against Wichita State's mere 15. The third quarter saw an impressive performance by Temple as they racked up another 23 points, showcasing their offensive capabilities.

Temple's offense was firing on all cylinders with a field goal percentage of 51 percent and an even more impressive two-point shooting percentage of 56 percent. Their scoring was well-distributed among players which is evident from their total assists tallying up to 21 for the game.

Defensively, Temple was just as formidable; they out-rebounded Wichita State by a significant margin with a total rebound count of 46 compared to Wichita State's 33 rebounds. This included grabbing eight offensive boards which contributed to second-chance opportunities resulting in an additional 17 points for Temple.

The Owl’s fast break execution was notable as well; they scored eleven fast break points reflecting their ability to capitalize on turnovers and transition quickly from defense to offense. Speaking of turnovers, while both teams struggled in this area—with Temple committing a total of twenty-five—their ability to score off turnovers was superior; they scored twenty-one points off turnovers compared to only five by Wichita State.

A key factor in this matchup was also how each team managed three-point shots; while neither team excelled beyond the arc, Temple made seven out of eighteen attempts giving them a three-point shooting percentage rounded up at thirty-nine percent whereas Wichita State struggled significantly making just one out of nineteen attempts—a stark five percent success rate.

As fans look forward toward future matchups for The Owls, attention turns back home where The Liacouras Center will host an upcoming game against Memphis Tigers scheduled for January fourteen at one PM Eastern Time (1:00 PM). Fans can catch all action live from Philadelphia where The Owls will aim to continue their winning ways on their home court.
