Tennessee Lady Volunteers Overpower Eastern Kentucky Colonels at Thompson-Boling Arena in Women's Basketball Victory

The Tennessee Lady Volunteers, ranked 23rd, delivered a commanding performance against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at Thompson-Boling Arena. The home team's record now stands at an impressive 105-71, while the visiting Colonels left with a score that reflected their valiant effort.


Tennessee Volunteers VS Norfolk State Spartans

From the opening quarter, the Tennessee Lady Volunteers set an aggressive pace with 33 points and maintained their dominance throughout the game. Their offensive execution was nearly flawless; they shot an impressive 52 percent from the field and a remarkable 60 percent from two-point range. The Lady Volunteers' defense was equally formidable, blocking six shots and stealing the ball eight times.


The Eastern Kentucky Colonels fought hard but struggled to keep up with their opponents' intensity. Additionally, they excelled in fast-break situations with twenty-five fast-break points demonstrating their quick transition play.


The bench also played a crucial role for Tennessee as it contributed significantly to second-chance opportunities resulting in thirty-four second-chance points which highlighted their tenacity on both ends of the court.
