Can Tennessee Lady Volunteers Outshine LSU Tigers at Home?

As the Tennessee Lady Volunteers gear up to host the LSU Tigers, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their recent dominant performance. The Lady Volunteers have shown a strong trend in their past games, with an impressive victory over the Razorbacks, scoring 81 points and showcasing a formidable defense with 57 total rebounds and an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.19.

However, it's not all been smooth sailing for the Lady Volunteers. A trip to Tuscaloosa saw them fall short against the Crimson Tide with only 56 points scored and a lower field goal percentage of 35 percent compared to their home game success. Despite this setback, they bounced back in Knoxville against the Missouri Tigers with an assertive win scoring 80 points and achieving a high two-point field goal percentage of 60 percent.

The upcoming clash at Thompson-Boling Arena is set against this backdrop of resilience and determination from the Lady Volunteers. Their ability to control the paint has been evident in recent games, particularly at home where they've outscored opponents significantly in this area.

Fans should expect Tennessee's strategy to revolve around leveraging their rebounding strength – both offensive and defensive – which has been pivotal in securing second-chance points as well as limiting opponents' opportunities. Additionally, maintaining a high assist-to-turnover ratio will be crucial for orchestrating effective offense against LSU.

The venue itself may play into Tennessee's hands; Thompson-Boling Arena has been a fortress where they've thrived on both ends of the court. With fan support behind them, it could provide that extra push needed for victory.

Mark your calendars for February 25th at 5:00 PM Eastern Time when these two teams face off in Knoxville at Thompson-Boling Arena. Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN channel 206 as these conference rivals vie for supremacy on court.
