The home team started strong in the first quarter but was slightly behind with the Tigers leading by three points. As the game progressed, it became evident that Tennessee was struggling to keep up with LSU's pace. Despite their best efforts and a significant third-quarter push where they outscored LSU by nine points, it wasn't enough to close the gap created in earlier play.

Tennessee's performance showcased their ability to fight for points inside as they scored 36 points in paint compared to LSU's 30. However, their shooting from beyond the arc was less effective with only three made three-pointers from eighteen attempts resulting in a seventeen percent success rate from downtown. On two-point attempts, they fared better making twenty out of fifty-six shots which translated into thirty-six percent shooting accuracy.

Defensively, Tennessee managed four blocks and two steals but committed eighteen personal fouls over the course of play. Their rebounding efforts were commendable as they grabbed fifty-three rebounds - fourteen offensive and twenty-nine defensive - contributing significantly to second-chance opportunities which yielded twenty-one additional points.

In contrast, LSU demonstrated superior ball control and efficiency on fast breaks scoring twenty-one fast break points and maintaining an assists turnover ratio of 2.5 indicating better ball distribution and decision-making under pressure. They also capitalized on turnovers scoring fourteen points off turnovers compared to Tennessee's three.

LSU’s field goal percentage stood at thirty-three percent making twenty-nine out of eighty-seven shots attempted; however, their free throw accuracy was impressive as they made eleven out of fourteen free throws rounding up seventy-nine percent from the line.

As for individual performances for Tennessee Lady Volunteers – details are not provided – but collectively there were notable contributions across various statistical categories including thirteen assists indicating teamwork despite falling short against a formidable opponent like LSU.

Looking ahead after this tough loss at home ground Knoxville’s Thompson-Boling Arena will once again be filled with anticipation as fans await another chance for redemption when Tennessee Lady Volunteers host Texas A&M Aggies on February 29th at 7:00 PM Eastern Time zone. Fans can catch all live action broadcasted directly from Knoxville ensuring not a moment is missed from what promises to be another exciting matchup.
