From tip-off at Reynolds Coliseum, the home team set an aggressive pace. The Lady Volunteers opened with a strong first quarter, putting up 23 points to Green Bay's 21 and didn't look back from there. Their offensive execution was near flawless; they shot an impressive 58 percent from the field and an outstanding 68 percent on two-point attempts. Tennessee also capitalized on free throws, sinking them at a rate of 74 percent.

The Lady Volunteers' defense was equally formidable, limiting Green Bay to just seven points in the second quarter while extending their own lead with another solid performance of scoring 21 points before halftime. They continued to apply pressure after the break, adding another 26 and then closing out with a final burst of 22 points in the fourth quarter.

Tennessee’s players were relentless under both baskets as they amassed a total of 43 rebounds—27 defensive and ten offensive—giving them numerous second-chance opportunities which led to them scoring an additional fourteen points. Their playmaking abilities were on full display as well; they dished out nineteen assists over four quarters.

Green Bay Phoenix fought valiantly but struggled against Tennessee’s robust defense and efficient offense. They managed to make six three-pointers at a thirty percent success rate but couldn't match Tennessee's intensity inside or outside the paint where they scored twenty-eight points compared to Tennessee’s forty.

Despite being evenly matched in turnovers with eight apiece for both teams, it was clear that Tennessee had better control over their game plan as evidenced by their seventeen fast break points against none for Green Bay Phoenix who also saw two players fouled out during critical moments of play.

As fans celebrate this emphatic win by The Lady Volunteers, attention now turns towards future matchups where they will aim to maintain this level of performance.
