The game at Reynolds Coliseum was a display of competitive spirit and tactical execution from both teams. The Lady Volunteers started strong, outscoring the Wolfpack 23-24 in the first quarter but fell behind in the second quarter managing only 8 points to the Wolfpack's 25. They bounced back in the third quarter with 19 points but couldn't sustain that momentum as they were outscored again in the fourth quarter by a margin of three points.

Tennessee showcased their strength inside by scoring 28 points in paint compared to North Carolina State's dominant performance on fast breaks which earned them 29 points. Despite this, Tennessee struggled to convert opportunities into turnovers, scoring just two points off turnovers while North Carolina State capitalized with nine.

The Lady Volunteers shot at a solid fifty percent from two-point range and finished with an overall field goal percentage of forty-five percent. Their free throw shooting was less effective at sixty-eight percent accuracy. In contrast, North Carolina State matched them with an equal field goal percentage but excelled at free throws making seventy-four percent of their shots.

Rebounding was one area where Tennessee held its own; they collected thirty-nine rebounds including thirty-three defensive boards which helped limit second-chance opportunities for North Carolina State who grabbed thirty-six rebounds themselves. However, it wasn't enough as Tennessee committed eighteen personal fouls over the course of play and turned over possession ten times.

Key players for Tennessee included those who contributed to their ten assists and made critical blocks and steals each during pivotal moments of play. Their efforts kept them within striking distance throughout most of the game despite trailing behind after each quarter except for the first one.

As fans reflect on this hard-fought contest, they can appreciate that even though it ended in defeat for Tennessee Lady Volunteers, there were positive aspects such as their resilience inside and ability to create plays which can be built upon moving forward.

Looking ahead without speculating on outcomes or performances, supporters can mark their calendars for future broadcasts featuring these talented athletes as they continue their season journey.
