The Longhorns have been on an impressive run this season, with their most recent victory over the Jackson State Tigers on December 28th at Moody Center being a testament to their prowess. Dominating the court with a staggering 97 points against the Tigers' 52, TEX displayed a harmonious blend of offense and defense. Their shooting was particularly noteworthy; they hit an astounding 58 percent from inside the arc and dazzled from downtown with a remarkable 56 percent from three-point range.

However, it wasn't just their shooting that caught attention; it was also their defensive tenacity. With eight blocks and nine steals contributing to an impressive display of athleticism and awareness, TEX turned defense into offense seamlessly. This performance followed another high-scoring affair where they trounced the Vaqueros with an overwhelming score of 104-51 on December 21st.

Despite these commanding performances, TEX's encounter against Baylor Bears on December 30th served as a reminder that even giants can falter. In what could only be described as a nail-biter, TEX fell short by six points in a high-octane clash that ended at 85-79 in favor of Baylor. While both teams were neck-and-neck throughout much of the game, it was Baylor's ability to capitalize on turnovers that ultimately made the difference – scoring thirty points off turnovers compared to TEX's twenty-one.

Looking ahead at TTU's home advantage could pose challenges for TEX; however, based on past performances and sheer statistical firepower – including higher assist-turnover ratios in recent games – there is reason for optimism among Longhorn fans.

The Lady Raiders should not be underestimated though; any team playing host has its own set of advantages which could sway momentum in their favor if taken lightly by visiting squads. Fans should expect nothing less than full-throttle intensity from tip-off until final buzzer as both teams vie for supremacy within this Texan showdown.

For those unable or unwilling to miss out on what promises to be an electrifying match-up between two top-tier collegiate programs - mark your calendars! The action unfolds live from United Supermarkets Arena at sharp six o'clock PM Central Time come January third year twenty-four - available exclusively via ESPN+ streaming platform online.
