Texas Longhorns Narrowly Edged Out at United Supermarkets Arena by Lady Raiders

In a closely contested match at the United Supermarkets Arena, the Texas Longhorns faced off against the Texas Tech Lady Raiders. The game ended with a score of 64-68, marking a hard-fought battle between the two teams. The Longhorns now stand at rank 25 with their season record slightly affected by this outcome.

Texas Longhorns VS Texas Tech Lady Raiders

The Texas Longhorns showcased resilience throughout the game, starting strong in the first quarter with 15 points but were slightly outpaced as they scored 12 points in the second quarter. Their efforts intensified after halftime as they rallied to add another 18 and then 19 points in the third and fourth quarters respectively. Despite their determination, it was not enough to secure victory.

The team's offensive efforts were led by impressive field goal attempts totaling 66 with a completion rate of about 42 percent. From beyond the arc, they attempted 23 three-pointers and made six of them which translates to an approximate three-point percentage of 26 percent. Inside shooting was more effective for them as they made about half of their two-point attempts.

On defense, Texas Longhorns managed to block six shots while stealing possession four times from their opponents. They also dominated rebounds with a total count of 36 compared to Lady Raiders' tally which was just one short at 35 rebounds.

However, free throws proved challenging for the Longhorns; only making two out of six attempts which is roughly a third in terms of percentage - an area that might have turned tides if executed better.

The Lady Raiders capitalized on turnovers scoring about fifteen points off them and maintained an eleven assist turnover ratio close to one despite having committed one more turnover than their counterparts from Texas University who had fifteen turnovers overall.

Moreover, Texas Tech's free throw accuracy played a pivotal role in their win as they successfully made approximately seventy-three percent out of thirty attempts – contributing significantly to their final score tally.

As fans look ahead, attention turns towards an upcoming challenge for The Texas Longhorns who are set to face Baylor Bears at Ferrell Center on January twenty-second at five PM Central Time. This encounter will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN2 channel two hundred nine where supporters can tune in for live coverage from Waco.
