The Texas Longhorns have been on an impressive run, their recent performance against the Vaqueros on December 21st being a testament to their dominance on the court. Scoring an overwhelming 104 points compared to the Vaqueros' 51, TEX demonstrated a high-octane offense coupled with a relentless defense. With an astounding three-point shooting percentage of 69 percent and free-throw accuracy hitting 88 percent, it's clear that TEX has honed its shooting prowess.

Moreover, TEX's ability to control the game was evident through their assists-turnover ratio of 2.9 and their substantial rebounding advantage—49 rebounds compared to Vaqueros' mere 21. This kind of ball control and presence under the hoop will be critical when they face OKST.

On December 14th against Arizona Wildcats, TEX once again proved their mettle by securing an 88-75 win in a more closely contested matchup. Despite fewer turnovers and lead changes in this game compared to previous ones, TEX maintained composure under pressure—a quality that will serve them well in hostile territory.

However, it would be unwise for fans or opponents alike to overlook OKST’s capabilities. The Cowgirls have shown they can compete at high levels and will undoubtedly look forward to defending their home court advantage fiercely.

The key for TEX lies in maintaining their exceptional field goal percentage (55 percent from two-point range) while capitalizing on turnovers as they did when scoring 35 points off turnovers against UTRGV. If they can replicate this performance—especially considering how they scored more than half of those points inside the paint—it could spell trouble for OKST’s defense.

TEX must also continue leveraging its depth; contributions across the board have been instrumental in past victories. With every player ready to step up when called upon—and if recent games are any indication—the Longhorns seem poised for another strong showing.

Fans should mark their calendars for January 20th at 8:00 PM CST when these two teams clash at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma. For those unable or unwilling to brave what promises to be an electric atmosphere live can catch all action from wherever they find most comfortable – though no broadcast networks were mentioned as carriers for this particular contest.
