Texas Longhorns VS Oklahoma State Cowgirls

At Gallagher-Iba Arena, home to the Cowgirls, the Texas team showcased a robust performance that tipped the scales in their favor. The Longhorns' offensive strategy was clear as they dominated points in the paint with a significant total of 40 compared to Oklahoma State's 24. This inside presence was bolstered by their efficient shooting from two-point range where they shot an impressive 57 percent.

The defensive efforts from both teams were on display as each racked up two blocks and fought hard for rebounds throughout all four quarters. However, it was the Longhorns who outrebounded their opponents with a total of 39 rebounds against Oklahoma State's 24. Of these, Texas grabbed eight offensive boards contributing to their second-chance points tally which stood at an advantageous figure of 16.

Turnovers played a pivotal role in this matchup; while both teams had moments of lapse resulting in turnovers –17 for Texas and 15 for Oklahoma State– it was how those turnovers were converted that made a difference. The Longhorns capitalized by scoring 19 points off turnovers whereas the Cowgirls managed only slightly less with14.

Texas also excelled at free throw shooting by making good on81 percent from the line which contributed significantly to maintaining their lead despite being challenged fiercely during certain stretches of play.

As fans look ahead, they can anticipate another exciting match-up when Texas hosts rivals Oklahoma Sooners at Moody Center on January24th at6 PM local time (Central). This game will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU channel208 for fans unable to attend what promises to be another intense conference showdown.
