Texas Longhorns Fall to NC State Wolfpack in Fierce Elite Eight Encounter

The Texas Longhorns, ranked 4th, faced a challenging game against the 11th-ranked North Carolina State Wolfpack, culminating in a score of 76-66. The Longhorns now stand with an additional loss to their record while the Wolfpack adds a win.

The Texas team showed determination and resilience, especially inside the paint where they scored an impressive 44 points. Their free throw performance was also strong as they made nineteen out of twenty-five attempts giving them seventy-six percent from the line.


Key players for North Carolina State included those who contributed significantly towards their sixteen assists and those who were part of creating turnovers that led to eight points off turnovers for their team. Despite turning over possession eleven times themselves, NCST maintained an assists turnover ratio higher than that of Texas at 1.45 compared to Texas's ratio at just above one (1.08).
