Tulane Green Wave Set to Host Charlotte 49ers at Devlin Fieldhouse

As the Tulane Green Wave prepare to host the Charlotte 49ers at Devlin Fieldhouse, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Green Wave's recent performances have set the stage for an exciting game, and there's every reason to believe that they will continue their winning streak.

In their last outing on December 21 against the Black Bears, Tulane emerged victorious with a narrow three-point margin, clinching the game 64-61. This win was characterized by a strong defensive effort that saw them block six shots and steal the ball seven times. Their offense wasn't too shabby either; they shot an impressive 44 percent from the field and an even better 51 percent from inside the arc.

The team's resilience was also on display in their semifinal match against Little Rock Trojans on December 20. Despite being tied five times and experiencing five lead changes, TULN managed to secure another win with a score of 66-57. Their free throw accuracy was notable at nearly 73 percent, which could be crucial in tight games.

Earlier in December (10th), TULN faced off against Howard Lady Bison and secured a comfortable victory with a score of 67-52. The team showcased its depth by out-rebounding Howard significantly (38 rebounds for Tulane versus Howard's 31) and maintaining higher efficiency from both two-point range (46 percent) and three-point range (36 percent).

The upcoming game against CHAR presents another opportunity for TULN to demonstrate their prowess on both ends of the court. CHAR will undoubtedly come prepared, but if past performances are any indication, it is clear that TULN has both the offensive firepower and defensive acumen needed to control this game.

CHAR should not be underestimated though; they've shown tenacity in past games as well. However, given TULN’s consistent performance across various statistical categories – including points off turnovers where they matched CHAR’s output – it seems likely that Tulane will dictate this matchup’s pace.

Fans eager to support their team can mark their calendars for February 1st when these two teams clash at Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans. The action is scheduled for tip-off at midnight local time (Central Time). While no broadcast networks have been announced yet, die-hard supporters should keep an eye out for streaming options or local listings closer to game day.
