Tulane Green Wave Set to Surge Against Memphis Tigers at Devlin Fieldhouse

As the Tulane Green Wave prepare to host the Memphis Tigers at Devlin Fieldhouse, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Green Wave's recent performances have been a mixed bag of high-octane offense and moments of defensive lapses, but there's every reason to believe that they can ride the crest of their home advantage to victory.

Tulane Green Wave VS Memphis Tigers

In their last outing against the Tigers on February 10th, TULN fell just short in an overtime heartbreaker, losing 79-80. Despite this setback, there were plenty of positives: TULN shot an impressive 54 percent from the field and 58 percent from two-point range. Their ability to score in the paint was evident as they racked up 44 points inside. However, turnovers were a thorn in their side with a total of 27 for the game.

The Green Wave's resilience will be key against MEM. In their previous matchup, despite trailing early after scoring only 24 points in the first quarter compared to MEM's robust start with 25 points in the second quarter alone, TULN showed grit by keeping pace throughout each subsequent quarter.

One area where TULN must improve is ball security; they had an assists turnover ratio of just 0.5 last time out against MEM. Reducing turnovers will be crucial if they want to control this upcoming game's tempo and keep pressure on MEM’s defense.

MEM comes into this game offensively potent as well – shooting at a solid rate from beyond the arc (40 percent) during their last encounter with Tulane – but it’s worth noting that TULN outperformed them inside by converting more efficiently on two-point attempts (58 percent).

Looking back further into Tulane’s season provides additional optimism for fans: A commanding performance against UTSA Roadrunners on February 4th saw them win comfortably with a scoreline of 75-64. That day showcased what TULN can do when firing on all cylinders - efficient shooting (55 percent field goal percentage), strong defense (5 blocks), and effective distribution (19 assists).

With these statistics in mind and playing before a supportive home crowd at Devlin Fieldhouse could provide just enough edge for Tulane Green Wave over Memphis Tigers.

The stage is set for February 24th at Devlin Fieldhouse where tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM local time. Fans eager not to miss any action should mark their calendars and tune into local broadcasts or streaming services where available – it promises to be an enthralling contest between two competitive teams looking to assert dominance within conference play.
