The game, held at Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans, saw the home team, the Green Wave, put up a valiant fight but ultimately fall to their opponents. Despite their best efforts and an impressive third-quarter rally where they scored 20 points compared to their first (10 points) and second quarter (7 points), it wasn't enough to secure victory. The fourth quarter saw them add only another 7 points to their tally.

The Green Wave showcased some solid defensive plays with five blocks and eight steals during the match. Their offensive efforts were led by an assist-to-turnover ratio of 0.44 with eleven assists on record but were hindered by twenty-seven turnovers throughout the game. They shot at forty-one percent from two-point range and twenty-eight percent from beyond the arc while maintaining perfect accuracy from the free-throw line.

On the other side, the Memphis Tigers managed fourteen steals and six assists which contributed to their win despite committing nineteen turnovers themselves. Their field goal percentage stood at thirty-eight percent overall with forty percent success on two-point attempts and thirty-three percent for three-pointers.

Rebounding was nearly even between both teams; however, Tulane edged out Memphis by one rebound with thirty-three total rebounds including twenty-five defensive boards compared to Memphis's thirty-two rebounds.

Despite falling behind early in this encounter, Tulane showed resilience especially during a strong third-quarter performance where they outscored Memphis by five points. However, consistent scoring across all quarters helped Memphis maintain their lead throughout.

Looking ahead for fans of Tulane Green Wave basketball: The team is scheduled for an away game against Florida Atlantic Owls at FAU Arena located in Boca Raton, FL on February 28th at 7:00 PM Eastern Time.
