The game held at United Supermarkets Arena saw the UCF Knights take an early lead in the first quarter, outscoring their opponents by 21 to 9. Although they experienced a slight dip in momentum during the second quarter with only 11 points to Texas Tech's 17, they regained their strength in the third quarter by matching their first-quarter performance and adding another 21 points to their tally. The fourth quarter was closely contested as well, with UCF scoring 16 points.

UCF's defense was on full display as they racked up five blocks and an impressive total of thirteen steals throughout the game. Their offensive efforts were equally notable; despite committing nineteen turnovers, they managed to convert these into twenty-two points off turnovers. The team also capitalized on fast-break opportunities, contributing twelve fast-break points to their overall score.

In terms of shooting accuracy, UCF had a solid night with field goals made standing at twenty-two out of fifty-one attempts resulting in a forty-three percent success rate from the field. The Lady Raiders put up a strong fight themselves but fell short despite having more total rebounds (33) compared to UCF's twenty-nine and recording higher assists (14). They also had fewer personal fouls (24) than UCF's twenty-one but couldn't capitalize on these advantages enough to secure victory.
