From the opening tip-off at Pauley Pavilion, the home team set the tone for the game. The UCLA Bruins began with an explosive first quarter scoring 22 points to the Roadrunners' eight and maintained their lead throughout. By halftime, it was clear that UCLA was in control of the game with a scoreline of 37-20.

The Bruins showcased their offensive skills by shooting an impressive field goal percentage of 48 rounded up from 47.5 percent and excelling inside with a remarkable two-point shooting percentage of over 61 percent. Their dominance in paint was evident as they racked up an astounding total of 40 points in that area alone.

Defensively, UCLA proved to be just as formidable. They amassed a total of fourteen steals over four quarters and limited their opponents to only three steals. This defensive pressure contributed significantly to twenty-two points off turnovers for the Bruins compared to twelve for Cal State Bakersfield.

UCLA also demonstrated superior teamwork with twenty-one assists leading to many high-percentage shots and contributing greatly to their overall field goal success rate. In contrast, Cal State Bakersfield managed just six assists throughout the entire game.

On top of that, rebounding was another area where UCLA excelled; they outrebounded their opponents by sixteen boards (37 rebounds for UCLA versus twenty-one for CSB), which included eleven offensive rebounds leading directly to ten second-chance points.

Cal State Bakersfield did show resilience particularly in free throw accuracy where they achieved nearly ninety percent from the line but it wasn't enough against such well-rounded opposition as displayed by UCLA's performance on both ends of the court.

The upcoming game will see The UCLA Bruins face off against Fresno State Bulldogs at Pauley Pavilion on December 20th at seven PM Pacific Time. Fans can catch all live action on Pac-12 Network ensuring they don't miss any part of what promises another exciting matchup on home turf.
