The home team's scoring was consistent throughout the game, starting strong with twenty-five points in the first quarter and closing out with twenty-three points in the final quarter.

Defensively, UCLA was just as formidable. They amassed eight blocks and eight steals over the course of play. Furthermore, their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an impressive two.

The Bruins were also dominant on rebounds with forty total rebounds compared to thirty-three by Utah; twelve offensive rebounds played a key role in securing sixteen second-chance points for UCLA. In contrast, Utah managed only six offensive rebounds leading to nine second-chance points.

Utah's performance was commendable despite falling short against a tough opponent. They shot eighty-eight percent from the free-throw line and scored more than half their points inside the paint with twenty-six points in paint contributions but struggled overall from field goals making only seventeen out of fifty-three attempts resulting in thirty-two percent shooting accuracy.
