The game held at MVP Arena was marked by intense competition as both teams fought hard on the court. The UCLA Bruins started strong, matching the LSU Tigers point for point in the first quarter with both teams netting 15 points each. However, despite their efforts and leading in total rebounds with a count of 44 compared to LSU's 38, they could not maintain this pace.

The home team struggled from beyond the arc throughout the game; their three-point shooting was just at twenty-two percent accuracy. In contrast, their two-point attempts were more successful with a forty-seven percent completion rate contributing to their thirty-six points scored inside the paint.

On defense, UCLA managed six steals and four blocks but committed twenty-five personal fouls which proved costly as it led to one player being fouled out. Their defensive efforts resulted in fifteen offensive rebounds which provided additional scoring opportunities but only translated into five second-chance points.

Offensively, UCLA showed better ball distribution than their opponents with sixteen assists but were hindered by nineteen turnovers which allowed LSU to capitalize and score twenty-three points off these mistakes. Despite these challenges, fast break plays were executed effectively resulting in nine fast break points for UCLA.

LSU Tigers showcased resilience especially in the final quarter where they scored thirty points sealing their victory over UCLA. They shot forty-six percent from both field goals and two-point range while also making seventy-seven percent of free throws which contributed significantly to maintaining their lead.

As for individual performances from LSU that stood out: they had eleven assists mirroring their number of steals indicating an aggressive defensive playstyle that put pressure on UCLA's offense leading to turnovers. The Tiger’s bench also played a crucial role adding depth and energy when needed most during this high-stakes game.
