UNLV Rebels Set to Challenge Wyoming Cowgirls at Arena-Auditorium

As the UNLV Rebels prepare to face off against the Wyoming Cowgirls at the Arena-Auditorium, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Rebels have shown a pattern of resilience and strategic play in their recent games, which could be pivotal in their upcoming encounter.

Wyoming Cowboys VS UNLV Runnin' Rebels

Looking back at the December 21st game against Fairleigh Dickinson Knights, UNLV displayed a robust offensive performance with 71 points on the board and an impressive 100 percent free-throw accuracy. Their ability to dominate inside was evident with 44 points in the paint. Moreover, they capitalized on turnovers, scoring 17 points from them and maintaining a solid assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.63.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for UNLV; they faced a tough challenge on December 16th against Seton Hall Pirates where they scored only 54 points and suffered defensively allowing 84 points. Their field goal percentage dropped to just 30 percent that day – a stark contrast to their usual standards.

But redemption came swiftly as seen in their game on December 9th against Oklahoma Sooners where UNLV racked up an impressive score of 92 points while keeping their field goal percentage at an even keel of fifty percent. They were relentless under the basket with fifty-six paint points and maintained defensive pressure resulting in eight steals.

The upcoming clash with WYO is expected to be intense. The Cowgirls will have home advantage but given UNLV's recent performances showing both vulnerability and strength, this game is far from predictable. It will require UNLV's tenacity from the Oklahoma victory combined with consistency from free throws as demonstrated against FDU Knights.

The Rebels' fans should look forward to seeing how Coach Kathy Olivier will leverage her team’s strengths – particularly their ability to convert plays into paint dominance and capitalize on fast-break opportunities.

Mark your calendars for February 22nd when these two teams collide at Laramie's Arena-Auditorium at what would be an equivalent local start time of February 21st, due to time zone differences (6:30 PM MST). Fans can catch all the action live as it unfolds right there in Wyoming or tune into broadcast coverage for what promises to be another thrilling chapter in women’s college basketball.
