Rebels Set to Host Aztecs in a Clash of Determination at Cox Pavilion

As the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Lady Rebels prepare to face off against the San Diego State Aztecs, anticipation is building for what promises to be an enthralling encounter. The Rebels are coming into this game with a momentum that could only be described as formidable. Their recent performance on February 18th against the Air Force Falcons was nothing short of spectacular, as they dominated with a resounding 95-68 victory. This display of offensive prowess was highlighted by an impressive 60 percent field goal shooting and an even more astonishing 69 percent from two-point range.

San Diego State Aztecs VS UNLV Runnin' Rebels

The Lady Rebels' ability to control the paint was evident as they racked up 64 points in that area alone, coupled with their tenacity on defense which led to three blocks and three steals. Moreover, their ball distribution has been commendable; dishing out 16 assists while maintaining an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.67 shows their efficiency in ball handling.

However, it wasn't just one game that showcased UNLV's dominance; another testament came during their slightly closer battle against Colorado State Rams on February 15th. Despite being challenged throughout the game with lead changes and ties, UNLV emerged victorious with a scoreline of 67-64. They maintained consistency from beyond the arc hitting at a rate of 33 percent and continued their aggressive play inside by matching points in the paint.

In contrast, SDSU will enter Cox Pavilion looking to upset the home team's rhythm but will face significant challenges if UNLV continues its current form. The Aztecs must find answers for UNLV's high-scoring offense while also contending with a Rebel defense that has shown it can disrupt opponents' flow and force turnovers.

Looking back at UNLV's away game on February 10th against Fresno State Bulldogs provides further insight into how they might approach this upcoming contest. Even though it was not as high-scoring an affair for them – finishing at just over half-century mark – they still managed to secure victory through solid defense and rebounding efforts leading them to win comfortably by double digits (63-49).

With all eyes set on March 2nd at Cox Pavilion where tip-off is scheduled for precisely at 2:00 PM PST, fans are eager for another display of Rebel resilience and skillful playmaking. Those unable or unwilling to miss witnessing what could potentially be another chapter in UNLV’s successful season can tune into local broadcasts or stream online platforms where live coverage will be available.

The stage is set for what could very well be another emphatic statement by the Lady Rebels; only time will tell if they continue their march towards greatness or if SDSU can halt their advance in front of a passionate Las Vegas crowd eagerly awaiting basketball excellence.
