From the opening tip-off to the final buzzer, the Utah Utes showcased their dominance on their home court. The team's offensive execution was nearly flawless as they amassed an impressive total of 98 points throughout the game. Their scoring was consistent across all quarters with 28 points in the first quarter followed by 27, 24 and finally capping off with 19 points in the last quarter.

The Utah Utes' shooting accuracy was a key factor in their victory; they achieved a field goal percentage of about 49 percent and were particularly effective from two-point range where they shot approximately 70 percent. Beyond that, their three-point shooting also contributed significantly to their scoreline as they made about 38 percent of attempts from beyond the arc.

Defensively, The Utes were just as formidable; they managed to steal possession from Merrimack Warriors no less than fifteen times and blocked two shots over four quarters of play. This defensive pressure resulted in Merrimack committing twenty-five turnovers which The Utes capitalized on by scoring thirty-two points off these opportunities.

On top of that, rebounding was another area where The Utah team excelled; pulling down fifty rebounds compared to Merrimack's twenty-eight helped them maintain control throughout the game. Of those fifty rebounds for The Utes, fifteen were offensive which allowed them second-chance opportunities resulting in twenty additional points.

The Warriors struggled against this relentless defense and could only muster up thirty-four points during this tough contest against one of college basketball’s top teams. They shot just over twenty-seven percent from field goals and made only four out of twenty attempts from three-point range – translating into a mere twenty percent success rate.
