UTSA Roadrunners VS Temple Owls

The game unfolded with both teams exhibiting strong performances from the start. The UTSA Roadrunners opened with determination, matching nearly point-for-point in the first half with quarters ending at 14 and another 14 points respectively. However, it was during the third quarter where they surged ahead to add 18 points to their total but were ultimately outdone by the Owls' impressive 22-point rally.

Offensively, UTSA showcased some solid statistics despite falling short on the scoreboard. They managed to sink 23 field goals out of 59 attempts resulting in a shooting percentage of 39 percent from the field. From beyond the arc, they hit five three-pointers on a shooting rate of 31 percent. Their efforts inside were notable as well; they scored an impressive total of 34 points in paint.

Defensively though, both teams were neck and neck with each recording three blocks for this matchup. However, steals told another story as UTSA could only muster three compared to Temple's commanding presence that resulted in thirteen steals.

A critical aspect for any team is how well they manage possession; unfortunately for UTSA fans, turnovers became a thorn in their side as they gave up possession twenty times throughout this encounter which translated into six points off turnovers for them compared to twenty-two for Temple.

Rebounding was one area where UTSA held its ground firmly against its opponents – pulling down thirty-nine rebounds (twenty-three defensive and thirteen offensive) versus thirty-seven by Temple (twenty-one defensive and eleven offensive). This effort provided them sixteen second-chance points but wasn't enough to turn tides completely.

Assists also painted part of this game's picture; while both teams were close with thirteen assists for UTSA and twelve for Temple – it was clear that ball movement played an integral role throughout this contest.
