From the opening quarter, the UTSA Roadrunners set an aggressive pace, outscoring their opponents 19-8. Their momentum continued throughout the game, with consistent scoring in each quarter: 14 in the second, 17 in the third, and finishing strong with 24 points in the fourth. The team's offensive efforts were matched by a solid defense that limited Wichita State to just 22 points at their highest-scoring quarter.

The home team showcased superior ball movement and teamwork which was evident from their total of 22 assists compared to only ten by Wichita State. This collaborative effort was further highlighted by a remarkable assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.2 for UTSA against a less efficient ratio for Wichita State.

UTSA's defensive prowess was on full display as they racked up six blocks over four quarters while maintaining pressure that resulted in five steals – equal to that of Wichita State's defensive efforts. On rebounds, UTSA dominated both defensively and offensively with a total rebound count of 52 against Wichita State's respectable but lower tally of 40.

Offensively, UTSA had an edge with field goal attempts standing at 81 compared to Wichita State's attempt count of just under sixty shots. Although both teams had similar shooting percentages from beyond the arc – around one-quarter success rate – it was inside where UTSA made significant strides; they scored more than half again as many points in paint as did their opponents.

The second-chance opportunities created by UTSA were crucial; they capitalized on these chances scoring an impressive number of second-chance points which dwarfed those scored by Wichita State.

Looking ahead for fans eager to support their team: The next challenge for The University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners will be away against Florida Atlantic Owls at FAU Arena located in Boca Raton, FL on January 10th at precisely seven o'clock PM Eastern Time Zone. Fans can catch all live action broadcasted directly from FAU Arena as these two teams face off on court once again.
