The UTSA Roadrunners and the Rice Owls faced off in a conference game that saw the home team, the Roadrunners, secure a 60-52 victory. The Owls, despite a strong effort, fell short and added another loss to their season tally.

UTSA Roadrunners VS Rice Owls

From tip-off to final buzzer, the UTSA Roadrunners displayed remarkable consistency across all four quarters of play. They managed an even scoring distribution with 15 points in each quarter. Their offensive efforts were complemented by a solid defense that resulted in five blocks and seven steals over the course of the game. The team's ability to capitalize on turnovers was evident as they scored 17 points off turnovers compared to the Owls' 12.

The UTSA Convocation Center witnessed an impressive display of teamwork from the home side as they notched eight assists against seven from their opponents. This slight edge contributed to their overall performance on court. Moreover, free throws proved crucial for both teams; however, it was UTSA's superior free throw percentage at 76 percent that helped them maintain their lead over Rice's commendable yet slightly lower 78 percent.

Rebounding was another area where the Roadrunners excelled with a total of 45 rebounds – one more than what they achieved through assists – which included securing more offensive rebounds (13) than Rice (12). This advantage allowed them additional second-chance opportunities resulting in 13 second-chance points.

On offense, both teams struggled somewhat with field goal percentages hovering around one-third success rate; however, it was UTSA's three-point shooting at a higher percentage (27 percent) that gave them an edge over Rice's lower three-point shooting percentage (11 percent). Additionally, points in paint were slightly higher for UTSA at 28 compared to Rice’s contribution of 24.

The attendance at this event numbered just above twelve hundred fans who witnessed no ejections or flagrant fouls during playtime – indicating disciplined gameplay from both sides amidst fierce competition.

Looking ahead for fans of women’s basketball and particularly those following the University of Texas at San Antonio athletics program: be sure not miss out on future broadcasts featuring your beloved Roadrunners as they continue their pursuit for success this season!
