Can the Hokies Outshine the Demon Deacons at Lawrence Joel Coliseum?

As the Virginia Tech Hokies prepare to face off against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The upcoming clash on January 4th promises to be a showcase of skill and strategy, but how will the Hokies fare in this away game?

The VT team has been on a remarkable run, displaying a potent mix of offensive firepower and defensive solidity. Their recent victory over Pittsburgh Panthers on December 31st was nothing short of dominant, with an impressive final scoreline of 91-41. The Hokies' shooting accuracy was particularly noteworthy; they hit 52 percent from the field and an outstanding 48 percent from beyond the arc. Coupled with their formidable rebounding advantage (40 total rebounds) and high assists turnover ratio (2.38), it's clear that VT is playing some inspired basketball.

In another notable performance against William & Mary Tribe on December 21st, VT secured a comfortable win with a score of 76-43. Their free throw precision stood out remarkably at 94 percent alongside their ability to capitalize on turnovers, scoring 19 points off them.

However, it wasn't just offense where VT excelled; defensively they've been just as imposing. Against Rutgers Scarlet Knights back on December 17th in an away setting similar to what they'll encounter at Winston-Salem, they managed to restrict their opponents while putting up strong numbers themselves for an ultimate score of 84-59.

Looking ahead to their encounter with WAKE, there are several factors that suggest this could be another successful outing for VT. They have demonstrated consistent shooting prowess across previous games which could prove pivotal in overcoming Wake Forest's defense.

Wake Forest will not make it easy though; every game brings its own challenges and no opponent can be underestimated in college basketball. It will require Virginia Tech to maintain their focus both offensively and defensively if they wish to emerge victorious once more.

Fans eager for action can catch this exciting matchup live on January 4th at 6:00 PM Eastern Time via ACC Network Extra online broadcast network from anywhere across the globe or cheer for their team right from Winston-Salem if local support is what drives them best!
