From the onset, the Virginia Tech Hokies established a lead that would only grow as the game progressed. By halftime, they had already accumulated 41 points compared to just 19 from the Bulldogs. The home team's offensive execution was clinical; they shot an impressive 50 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 59 percent from two-point range. Their prowess extended beyond shooting as they also made significant contributions from beyond the arc, sinking 11 three-pointers at a solid rate of 39 percent.

Defensively, Virginia Tech was just as formidable. They outperformed UNC Asheville in steals with eight and added three blocks to their defensive tally. This aggressive defense translated into points off turnovers, where they capitalized with a total of 24 points compared to only six for the Bulldogs.

The Hokies' teamwork shone through in their distribution of assists; they doubled up on UNC Asheville with an outstanding count of 20 assists which reflected their fluid ball movement and unselfish playstyle. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an impressive figure of over two while maintaining fewer turnovers than their opponents.

On top of that, Virginia Tech controlled both ends of the court when it came to rebounds. They collected one less rebound than UNC Asheville's total but managed seven offensive boards which contributed to ten second-chance points.

UNC Asheville struggled throughout this encounter against a well-oiled Virginia Tech machine. Despite attempting more shots overall (56), they could not find efficiency or consistency in scoring – managing only a third successful field goal percentage and falling short in both free throws and two-point attempts percentages.

As fans look ahead for Virginia Tech Hokies' next challenge, attention turns towards Cassell Coliseum once again where Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be visiting on December 18th at approximately four o'clock PM Eastern Time Zone (ET). This upcoming game will be broadcasted nationally on ACC Network channel six hundred twelve for fans eager to follow another potential showcase by this formidable team.
