Can Wake Forest Demon Deacons Bounce Back at Boston College Eagles' Nest?

As the Wake Forest Demon Deacons prepare to face off against the Boston College Eagles at Silvio O. Conte Forum, fans are eager to see if their team can rebound from a string of challenging games. The upcoming clash on January 18th is more than just another game; it's an opportunity for the Demon Deacons to prove their resilience.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons VS Boston College Eagles

In their last outing on January 14th, WAKE faced a tough Louisville Cardinals squad and came up short, scoring 62 points against the Cardinals' dominant 83. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways for WAKE: they shot an impressive 55 percent from two-point range and an exceptional 90 percent from the free-throw line. However, turnovers proved costly with a total of 19 giving away precious possessions.

The game before that wasn't any easier for WAKE as they hosted Syracuse Orange on January 11th and were defeated with a score of 56-77. The Demon Deacons struggled in field goal percentage at only 37 percent and three-point shots weren't falling as hoped with just a 38 percent success rate.

Earlier in the month on January 7th, WAKE traveled to face Miami (FL) Hurricanes where they put up only 47 points against Miami's strong defense which scored them a total of 77 points. That game highlighted areas for improvement as WAKE managed only a meager one point from fast breaks and turned over the ball nineteen times.

Despite these setbacks, there is reason for optimism among Wake Forest fans. The team has demonstrated its ability to score inside with consistency and when given opportunities at the line; they capitalize efficiently.

Looking ahead to their encounter with BC Eagles, it's crucial that WAKE tightens up its ball security and looks to exploit any weaknesses in BC’s defense. To come out victorious, it will be essential for them not only to maintain their free-throw accuracy but also improve upon converting turnovers into points – something they've struggled with recently.

The upcoming game promises excitement as both teams vie for victory in Chestnut Hill. Fans can catch all the action live on January 18th at Silvio O. Conte Forum starting at sharp seven o'clock in the evening Eastern Time.
