Can Wake Forest Demon Deacons Continue Their Winning Streak Against Florida State Seminoles?

As the Wake Forest Demon Deacons prepare to host the Florida State Seminoles at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Demon Deacons have shown a resilience that could be pivotal in their upcoming clash.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons VS Florida State Seminoles

In their last home game on December 21, WAKE overcame the Thundering Herd with a 66-59 victory, showcasing a robust defense with 7 blocks and an impressive rebounding effort totaling 46 boards. This defensive solidity combined with scoring efficiency – shooting at 47 percent from the field – was key to their success.

However, it wasn't just about defense; WAKE's ability to score in the paint was notable as they racked up 34 points inside. This inside presence will be crucial against FSU's defense. Moreover, WAKE demonstrated an ability to adjust after halftime, outscoring their opponents in both third and fourth quarters which speaks volumes about their tactical flexibility and endurance.

Contrastingly, during an away game on December 17 against Georgetown Hoyas, WAKE struggled offensively scoring only 44 points and shooting at a mere 26 percent from the field. Despite this setback, they managed to maintain defensive pressure through steals (11) and blocks (2), indicating that even when offense falters, their defense remains relentless.

The matchup against Norfolk State Spartans on December 10 also highlighted areas for improvement for WAKE; turnovers were an issue as they gave up possession 16 times. However, they still emerged victorious with a score of 51-46 due to strong free throw shooting (81 percent) and maintaining composure under pressure.

Looking ahead to FSU's visit on February 15th at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem – it is clear that if WAKE can leverage its home-court advantage while continuing its aggressive defensive play and improving ball security – there is every reason for optimism among fans.

The scheduled tip-off is set for February 15th at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum where fans can catch all the action live as these two teams battle it out on court.
