The game was held at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, WA, where fans witnessed an intense battle between two determined teams. The Cougars started strong, outscoring the Rockets 16-14 in the first quarter. However, they faced a setback as the Rockets surged ahead with 20 points to the Cougars' 14 in the second quarter. Undeterred by this challenge, Washington State came back after halftime to claim the third quarter by scoring 19 points against Toledo's 17.

Washington State's performance was bolstered by their impressive shooting from inside the arc where they made 22 of their attempted 41 two-point shots for a solid shooting percentage of fifty-four percent. Their defensive efforts were also notable as they managed to block three shots and steal five times from their opponents.

Despite committing ten personal fouls compared to Toledo's seven and turning over possession ten times during play, Washington State maintained composure and capitalized on key plays which ultimately led them to victory. They dominated on rebounds with thirty-seven total rebounds including twenty-five defensive ones and ten offensive rebounds which contributed significantly to maintaining possession.

Toledo showed resilience throughout each quarter but couldn't maintain their lead due mainly to lower overall field goal accuracy at forty-seven percent from their fifty-eight attempts and less efficiency beyond the arc hitting only forty-two percent of three-pointers compared to Washington State’s twenty-eight percent.

The home team’s ability to convert free throws proved crucial; although only making fifty-seven percent of them it was enough for them secure those extra points needed for triumph over Toledo who had one hundred percent accuracy but only from two attempts at free throws throughout entire match-up.

As both teams fought hard until last buzzer sounded it was clear that every point mattered this night – especially when considering there were eight ties eight lead changes during course game indicating just how tight competition really was between these squads on court today.

Looking ahead, fans can anticipate another exciting matchup as Washington State prepares for its next challenge against Illinois Fighting Illini on April 1st at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The upcoming contest is scheduled for a tip-off time of 10:00 AM PT and will be available for viewing by supporters eager to follow along as it unfolds live.
