The game was marked by several lead changes and ties, indicating how evenly matched both teams were throughout the contest. The Wyoming Cowgirls showed remarkable resilience and determination as they battled back from an early deficit after trailing in the first quarter with only 10 points against the Rams' 17. However, they picked up momentum in the second quarter by adding another 17 points to their tally while holding their opponents to just 13.

The third quarter saw both teams neck-and-neck again, but it was in the final quarter where the Cowgirls truly shone. They outscored their rivals with an impressive surge of 24 points compared to just 13 by Colorado State University (CSU). This decisive period showcased Wyoming's offensive capabilities as they capitalized on scoring opportunities and maintained a solid defense.

Wyoming's shooting accuracy was key to their victory; they boasted a field goal percentage of fifty percent compared to CSU's forty percent. Their prowess from beyond the arc was also notable as they hit eleven three-pointers at a forty-one percent success rate.

Defensively, both teams were evenly matched with neither managing any blocks throughout the game. However, Wyoming pulled down more rebounds than CSU – thirty-three compared to twenty-five – which included thirty defensive boards that helped limit second-chance points for their opponents.

Wyoming also demonstrated superior teamwork with seventeen assists leading to well-executed plays against CSU's eleven assists. Despite committing twelve turnovers themselves, they managed to convert ten points off turnovers from CSU who had six mishaps on that front.

The home team’s fans were treated not only to an exciting win but also witnessed standout individual performances that contributed significantly towards securing this victory for Wyoming.

Looking ahead for fans of Wyoming basketball: The next challenge for the Cowgirls will be against Air Force Falcons at Arena-Auditorium located at 1000 E University Avenue in Laramie, WY on January 24th at around 6:30 PM local time (Mountain Time Zone). Supporters can catch all live action broadcasted from this venue as these two teams face off once again.
