Can the Cowgirls Outshine the Spartans Again at Provident Credit Union Event Center?

Wyoming Cowgirls VS San Jose State Spartans

From tip-off, the Cowgirls established dominance on both ends of the court. They opened up with a solid first quarter, outscoring their opponents 23-17 and continued to build on that momentum in the second quarter with an even more impressive 28 points to San Jose State's 13. The offensive clinic didn't stop there; they added another 24 points in the third quarter before closing out their scoring efforts with 13 points in the fourth.

The Wyoming team showcased remarkable shooting accuracy throughout the game, hitting field goals at a rate of 61 percent and maintaining an equally impressive three-point percentage of 60. Their prowess from beyond the arc was evident as they sank half as many threes (15) as two-point shots (15), demonstrating their ability to score from all over.

On defense, Wyoming made sure to keep pressure high, accumulating six steals and three blocks during playtime. The defensive effort was further bolstered by securing a total of 31 rebounds – including an overwhelming majority on defense with 26 defensive rebounds compared to only five offensive ones.

Wyoming's teamwork shone brightly as well; they racked up twice as many assists (24) than turnovers (12), showcasing efficient ball movement and decision-making that kept San Jose State scrambling defensively.

The Spartans did not go down without showing some fight themselves though. They managed to put up a respectable shooting performance with a field goal percentage of nearly half at 46 percent and were just shy behind Wyoming in three-point accuracy at around sixty percent. However, their efforts were hampered by committing more personal fouls (19) which contributed to fewer opportunities for them compared to their counterparts who capitalized by making thirteen free throws at an eighty-one percent success rate.

As fans look forward toward future games, attention turns back home where next action awaits for Wyoming Cowgirls against Fresno State Bulldogs at Arena-Auditorium in Laramie on March second at noon local time. Fans can catch this matchup live where it will be broadcasted for supporters eager to follow along.
