Cardinals Soar Past Eagles in a Close Encounter at Lincoln Financial Field

The Arizona Cardinals, with a 4-12 record, edged out the Philadelphia Eagles, who stood at 11-5, in a nail-biting contest that ended 35-31. The Cardinals' victory was marked by an impressive offensive display that racked up a total of 449 yards.

The Cardinals' quarterback had an exceptional game, completing 25 out of 31 attempts for 232 yards and three touchdowns. His passer rating was an outstanding 116.7. The aerial attack was complemented by the ground game which amassed a significant total of 221 rushing yards over 40 attempts, averaging six yards per carry and securing one touchdown.

Arizona's receiving corps also played a pivotal role in the win with receptions totaling to the same number as their passing yards (232), including three touchdowns and achieving first downs on sixteen occasions. Their longest reception went for thirty-six yards while they managed to catch all but one pass deemed catchable.

Special teams contributed positively as well with the kickers maintaining perfect records; field goals were successful on both attempts with the longest being thirty-four yards and extra points were made on all three tries. Additionally, kickoff duties saw six touchbacks from seven kicks.

Defensively, Arizona held their own despite not recording any sacks; they managed to tally two hurries and two quarterback hits while forcing one interception without conceding any return yardage on it. They also defended two passes effectively during critical moments of play.

On penalties, Arizona maintained discipline committing only five for twenty-five penalty yards which translated into just one first down for Philadelphia. This restraint helped them maintain control throughout the match.

Looking ahead to their next challenge, fans can mark their calendars for January seventh when the Arizona Cardinals will host the Seattle Seahawks at State Farm Stadium in Glendale at nine twenty-five PM Eastern Time. This matchup will be broadcast live on FOX where supporters can tune in to watch their team take to the field once again.
