Cardinals Clipped by Rams at State Farm Stadium in Week 3 Showdown

The Arizona Cardinals faced a challenging contest at State Farm Stadium, ending with a score of 20-12 against the Los Angeles Rams. The Cardinals now stand at 4-13, while the Rams improved to 5-12.

The Cardinals' defense managed to sack the opposing quarterback once and forced three three-and-outs during the game. They also recorded one forced fumble and recovered it, showcasing their ability to create turnovers. However, they were unable to intercept any passes throughout the match.

Arizona's offense had a busy day with 58 passing attempts resulting in 37 completions for a total of 314 yards through the air. Despite this effort, they could not find their way into the end zone and settled for field goals instead. The kicking unit was perfect on the day, converting all four field goal attempts with the longest being from 49 yards out.

On special teams, punting was frequent for Arizona as they punted four times for an average of 40 yards per punt but failed to pin any inside the opponent's 20-yard line. In terms of penalties, both teams played relatively disciplined football with Arizona accruing six penalties totaling fifty yards.

Rushing was less effective for Arizona as they carried twenty-one times for only seventy yards without scoring any touchdowns or breaking off any significant runs; their longest rush was just ten yards.

Looking ahead after this tough loss at home, fans can catch their next game when The Arizona Cardinals travel to face off against Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on October second at eight o'clock PM Eastern Time on FOX network broadcasts.
