Lumen Field Showdown: Arizona Cardinals Grapple with Seattle Seahawks

The Arizona Cardinals faced a challenging game at Lumen Field against the Seattle Seahawks, ending in a 9-19 defeat. The Cardinals' season record now stands at 4-13, while the Seahawks improved to 9-8.

In front of an attendance of 68,867 fans, the Cardinals struggled to find their rhythm offensively. Despite accumulating a total of 315 yards and maintaining possession for over half an hour, they were only able to put nine points on the board. The team's passing game saw quarterback pressures that resulted in six sacks and one interception. However, they managed to complete 23 out of 37 pass attempts for a total of 222 yards.

The rushing offense was more effective with an average gain of over five yards per carry, totaling 144 yards on the ground. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, their efforts did not translate into touchdowns as they had zero rushing scores and failed all red zone opportunities.

Defensively, the Cardinals showed some resilience by recording five sacks and forcing four three-and-outs against the Seahawks' offense. They also managed one fumble recovery which led to their only touchdown through defensive effort.

Special teams had mixed results; while successfully converting their sole field goal attempt from within twenty-nine yards out, they missed an extra point attempt which could have added crucial points to their tally.

On receiving duties, despite three dropped passes among thirty-six targets resulting in ten first downs from receptions alone; there was no shortage of effort as broken tackles led to significant yardage after catches.

Looking ahead for fans of the Arizona Cardinals is another opportunity for redemption when they host New Orleans Saints at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on October 21st at what will be an evening kickoff time broadcasted exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. This upcoming match promises another chance for the team to showcase its talent before its dedicated supporters.
