Can the Baltimore Ravens Bounce Back After Narrow Loss to Eagles?

In a closely contested match, the Baltimore Ravens faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles, concluding with a score of 13-16. The game marked the beginning of the 2024 preseason for both teams. The Baltimore Ravens showcased a strong defensive effort throughout the game, accumulating two sacks and forcing three quarterback hits against their opponents. Damarion Williams and C.J. Ravenell each contributed significantly to this defensive prowess with one sack apiece, adding pressure on the Eagles' offense. On special teams, Jordan Stout's punting was notable as he managed an average of 51.5 yards across six attempts, including one that landed inside the 20-yard line.

Offensively, Devin Leary and Josh Johnson took snaps under center for Baltimore but struggled to find consistency in their passing game. Leary completed six out of ten passes for a total of 37 yards while Johnson added another four completions for 62 yards from twelve attempts. The rushing attack provided some balance with Owen Wright leading with 33 yards on seven carries.

Despite these efforts, turnovers and penalties hindered potential scoring drives for Baltimore. Emory Jones lost a fumble which contributed to one turnover for his team; meanwhile, penalties cost them valuable yardage at critical moments during play.
