Carolina Panthers Narrowly Outscored at Bank of America Stadium by Green Bay Packers

The Carolina Panthers, with a season record of 2-14, faced off against the Green Bay Packers, standing at 8-8, in a closely contested match that ended with a score of 33-30. The game took place at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte and drew an impressive crowd of 70,875 spectators.

The Panthers demonstrated a solid offensive performance throughout the game. Their passing game was particularly effective as they amassed 312 yards through the air with an average gain of 6.3 yards per play. The quarterback's precision was on display as he completed 23 out of 36 attempts and threw two touchdowns without any interceptions, achieving an impressive passer rating of 110. The longest pass completion went for 30 yards and contributed to their total first downs from passing plays which stood at fourteen.

On the ground, Carolina managed to rush for a total of ninety-six yards across twenty-five attempts with an average yardage close to four per carry. They broke through for two rushing touchdowns; one being the longest rushing play resulting in a twenty-yard touchdown dash.

Special teams also played their part effectively; Carolina executed all three red zone opportunities into scores and maintained perfect goal-to-go efficiency during their two attempts. Their kicker successfully converted his only field goal attempt from fifty-two yards out but struggled on extra points making just one out of three attempts.

Defensively, while they forced three punts and managed one sack totaling twelve lost yards for Green Bay along with forcing one fumble which they recovered themselves, it wasn't enough to hold back the Packers' scoring drives.

Despite these efforts by Carolina's offense and special teams units combined with defensive plays that included thirty tackles assisted by thirty-eight more from teammates leading to sixty-eight combined tackles overall – it was not sufficient to secure victory over Green Bay who edged them out by just three points when time expired.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought battle at home soil against Green Bay Packers, fans can anticipate seeing their team take on Jacksonville Jaguars away from home at EverBank Stadium on December thirty-first at six o'clock PM Eastern Time broadcasted live on CBS network channels where they will hope for better fortunes as they close out their season campaign.
