Clash at MetLife Stadium: Chicago Bears to Face New York Jets in Week 12 Showdown

As the Chicago Bears prepare to take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, fans are looking for signs of hope after a challenging season. The Bears, with a record of 3 wins and 14 losses, are coming off a narrow defeat against the Atlanta Falcons with a score of 24-27 on November 20th. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways that could spell success against the Jets.

The Bears' rushing game has been their lifeline. In their last three games, they've consistently put up impressive numbers on the ground. Against the Falcons, they rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns. This followed an even more dominant performance against the Detroit Lions where they amassed an astonishing 258 rushing yards and two touchdowns as well. Their commitment to the run was evident in their game against Miami Dolphins too, with another strong showing of 252 rushing yards.

However, it's not just about quantity; it's about efficiency too. The Bears have shown that when they get into redzone territory, they can capitalize on opportunities – boasting a perfect conversion rate against both Atlanta and Detroit when given goal-to-go situations.

On defense though, there is room for improvement. While they managed to force turnovers in each game – including fumble recoveries against both Atlanta and Detroit – their ability to pressure quarterbacks has been lacking with zero sacks recorded in two out of these three games.

The New York Jets will not make things easy for Chicago either. They will be playing at home and will undoubtedly look to exploit any weaknesses in Chicago's armor.

Looking ahead to November 27th at MetLife Stadium scheduled for kickoff at 1:00 PM EST (6:00 PM GMT), fans should expect a determined effort from the Bears as they seek redemption from previous setbacks this season. The running attack remains their best weapon and if utilized effectively could control possession time which is vital for keeping opposing offenses like that of NYJ off-field.

For those unable to attend in person, you can catch all action live on FOX network where every play counts towards what could be an unexpected victory or another learning curve in what has been an undeniably tough year for Chicago football enthusiasts.
