In a challenging Week 3 encounter, the Chicago Bears faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The game saw an attendance of 73,562 fans who witnessed a tough day for the visiting team. Despite their efforts, the Chicago Bears could not match up to their opponents' performance on both ends of the field. The offense struggled throughout, managing only 203 total yards compared to Kansas City's dominant display. The passing game was particularly stifled; with only half of pass attempts completed for a mere total of 99 yards and one touchdown pass that covered nine yards.

The rushing department offered some resistance with an average gain per attempt standing at approximately four yards and totaling six first downs from twenty-six attempts. However, they failed to convert these into touchdowns. On special teams play, all three kickoffs by the Bears resulted in touchbacks.

Defensively, there were some positives as two interceptions were made by Chicago's defense returning them for forty-two yards combined; however this effort was overshadowed by their inability to register any sacks or force more than one turnover due to fumbles - which they also lost once themselves.

Penalties were another area where discipline cost them dearly; six penalties led to thirty-two penalty yards conceded by Chicago's side which further hampered their chances in this lopsided affair.
