Cleveland Browns Stumble in Baltimore: A Defensive Duel at M&T Bank Stadium

In a game that saw the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens clash in Week 18 of the NFL season, both teams showcased their defensive capabilities. The Browns, unable to find their rhythm offensively, were held scoreless throughout the game, culminating in a 0-7 defeat against the Ravens. This result leaves both teams with much to ponder as they reflect on their performances.

Key Highlights from M&T Bank Stadium

The Cleveland Browns' defense put forth a commendable effort despite the loss. Myles Garrett stood out with his ability to disrupt plays, recording one tackle for loss among his two tackles, showcasing why he is considered one of the premier defenders in the league. Meanwhile, Mike Hall Jr. contributed significantly with one tackle and an assist alongside a quarterback hit, indicating his growing influence on games.

On special teams, Corey Bojorquez had two punting attempts totaling 69 yards but struggled to pin the Ravens deep in their territory with no punts landing inside the 20-yard line and one touchback.

Offensive Struggles Continue

Offensively, it was a day to forget for the Browns as they managed only 51 total yards across all plays. Quarterbacks Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Bailey Zappe shared duties under center but found little success through the air. Thompson-Robinson completed two of three attempts for just 13 yards while Zappe threw an interception on one of his three attempts which resulted in an interception return touchdown by Baltimore's defense.

The running game didn't fare much better; D'Onta Foreman led Cleveland's rushers with only 12 yards on five carries. The lack of offensive production was further highlighted by Jordan Akins being the sole bright spot receiving-wise – catching all three targets thrown his way for a total of 34 yards.

Looking Ahead

As fans look forward to what comes next after this tough outing at M&T Bank Stadium against Baltimore Ravens, it's clear that improvements are needed on both sides of football for Cleveland Browns if they aim to compete at higher levels moving forward.
