Can the Dallas Cowboys Tame the Detroit Lions at AT&T Stadium?

As the Dallas Cowboys gear up to face the Detroit Lions at AT&T Stadium, fans are eager to see if America's Team can continue their dominant performance. The upcoming clash on December 31st is more than just a game; it's a statement of intent from the Cowboys, who have shown resilience and skill throughout this season.

Looking back at their recent games, there's a pattern of robust defense and an offense that capitalizes on opportunities. Despite a narrow loss to the Miami Dolphins with 20 points to Miami's 22 on December 24th, DAL showed they could hold their ground against formidable opponents. Their punting game was strong, averaging 59 yards across three attempts, which speaks volumes about their ability to control field position.

The defensive unit has been nothing short of impressive. With five tackles for loss and one sack against Miami, they've demonstrated an ability to disrupt plays and pressure quarterbacks effectively. However, missed tackles were an issue that allowed some leeway for opponents – something they'll need to tighten up against DET.

Offensively, DAL has been efficient in passing with a completion percentage of 62 percent against MIA and no interceptions thrown – showcasing quarterback precision under pressure. The rushing attack also remains solid with an average of four yards per carry in that game.

In contrast, when facing off against Buffalo Bills on December 17th where DAL scored only ten points compared to BUF’s thirty-one points - it was evident that turnovers can be detrimental as DAL had one interception during this match-up which contributed significantly towards their defeat despite maintaining possession for nearly twenty-five minutes during playtime.

However, redemption came when DAL hosted Philadelphia Eagles on December 11th at AT&T Stadium itself - scoring thirty-three points while holding PHI down to thirteen points only! This victory was marked by zero turnovers from DAL’s side along with forcing three fumbles from Eagles; showing how crucial turnover margins are for winning games especially when combined with high third-down conversion rates like fifty-six percent achieved by them in this particular encounter!

With these performances in mind heading into their next battle versus DET Lions; it is clear that if Dallas Cowboys maintain discipline avoiding penalties (which cost them sixty yards versus PHI), capitalize on red zone opportunities (100 percent success rate), keep up defensive pressure causing turnovers while minimizing theirs then victory should be within reach once again!

Fans eagerly anticipating this matchup should mark their calendars for December 31st at precisely 8:15 PM Eastern Time as ABC/ESPN will broadcast live from Arlington where you can witness whether or not Dallas Cowboys will indeed tame those Detroit Lions!
