Empower Field at Mile High Sets the Stage for Denver Broncos vs. Minnesota Vikings Showdown

As the Denver Broncos gear up to host the Minnesota Vikings at Empower Field at Mile High, fans are on the edge of their seats anticipating what could be a defining moment early in the season. The upcoming game, scheduled for late August, promises to be a spectacle of strategy and athleticism.

The Broncos' recent performance against the Buffalo Bills on August 20th left much to be desired, with a crushing 42-15 defeat that highlighted areas needing improvement. The offensive line struggled to protect their quarterback, who was sacked once and limited to an average of only 5.6 yards per pass attempt despite completing over 70 percent of his throws. The running game was stifled as well, managing just 32 yards across 17 attempts – a paltry average of under two yards per carry.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for the Broncos faithful. One shining aspect was their field goal unit which proved reliable by converting all three attempts – including one from beyond 50 yards out. This special teams performance could play a crucial role in close-scoring scenarios.

On defense, while they failed to record any sacks or interceptions against Buffalo's offense, they did manage an impressive number of tackles (40) and assists (12). This shows that there is potential in this squad that can be harnessed with proper adjustments and preparation.

In contrast, when looking back at their home victory over Dallas Cowboys on August 14th where they won by ten points (17-7), there were positive signs particularly on defense where they recorded two sacks and snagged an interception while defending six passes effectively – showing glimpses of what could become a formidable defensive unit if consistency is achieved.

The key takeaway from these past performances is that while there are weaknesses within both offensive and defensive lines for DEN; there are also strengths such as special teams efficiency and moments where defense has shone through which can be built upon leading into this matchup against MIN.

The Vikings will certainly pose challenges with their own set of skills but if DEN can capitalize on home-field advantage while refining those areas exposed by previous opponents; then fans might just witness a turnaround from their team’s recent woes.

Looking ahead to game day scheduled for August 28th at Empower Field at Mile High starting at 9:00 PM ET; fans should mark their calendars as this encounter will not only test the mettle of both teams but also serve as an indicator for how DEN might fare moving forward into regular season play. For those unable to attend in person - rest assured you won't miss out on any action since it will be broadcasted live via NFL Network available on satellite channel number 212.
