Empower Field at Mile High Welcomes Denver Broncos and Houston Texans for NFL Clash

As the Denver Broncos prepare to host the Houston Texans at Empower Field at Mile High, fans are eager to see if their team can capitalize on past performances and secure a victory. The upcoming game, scheduled for September 18th, promises to be an intriguing matchup as both teams look to assert their dominance early in the season.

The Broncos have shown flashes of brilliance and areas that need improvement. In their recent encounter with the Seattle Seahawks on September 13th, they fell just short with a score of 16-17. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways; notably, a passing game that racked up 340 yards with a completion percentage of 69 percent and an average gain of 6.8 yards per play. However, two lost fumbles and twelve penalties costing them 106 yards highlighted issues that cannot be ignored.

Denver's defense was formidable against Seattle, recording two sacks and forcing three fumbles while holding possession for over half the game (33:39). This defensive prowess was also evident in their preseason victory over Minnesota Vikings on August 28th where they tallied five sacks and forced three turnovers leading to a more comfortable win with a scoreline of 23-13.

In contrast, when facing off against Buffalo Bills on August 20th in another preseason bout, Denver struggled significantly. They conceded an overwhelming defeat at Highmark Stadium by a score of 15-42. The defense failed to record any sacks or force any turnovers which allowed Buffalo's offense free rein throughout the contest.

Looking ahead to the Texans' challenge; it is imperative that Denver focuses on ball security and discipline regarding penalties if they wish to emerge victorious. The offensive line must protect their quarterback from being sacked as seen in previous games where they've allowed minimal disruptions from opposing defenses.

The Texans will not make it easy though; despite being visitors they will come prepared for battle hoping to exploit any weaknesses shown by Denver thus far.

Fans should mark their calendars for what is sure to be an exciting clash between these two teams. The game is set for Sunday evening kickoff at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver under what one hopes will be clear skies perfect for football action. For those unable or unwilling to attend in person can catch all live coverage starting from kickoff time on CBS network – don't miss out!
