Clash at GEHA Field: Denver Broncos Take on Kansas City Chiefs in New Year Showdown

As the Denver Broncos prepare to face off against the Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, fans are looking for insights into how their team might fare in this upcoming NFL game. The statistics from previous games paint a picture that could be cause for both concern and optimism among the Broncos faithful.

The last time these two teams met on December 11, 2022, it was a close contest with the Chiefs edging out a victory with a score of 34-28. The Broncos showed they could put points on the board against one of the league's top teams. However, they also allowed 34 points and will need to tighten up defensively if they hope to reverse that result.

In their most recent game on December 25, 2022, against the Los Angeles Rams, Denver had a tough outing with only 14 points scored while conceding an overwhelming 51 points. This performance highlighted some critical areas needing improvement – particularly in defense where no sacks were recorded and tackling was an issue with 14 missed tackles.

On a more positive note, during their Week 15 game against Arizona Cardinals on December 18, Denver showcased what they are capable of when things click. They secured a win with solid offensive play resulting in three touchdowns and demonstrated defensive prowess by recording three interceptions and three sacks.

Looking ahead to January 1st's matchup against Kansas City Chiefs – who boast an impressive record – it is clear that consistency will be key for Denver. The offense needs to capitalize on red zone opportunities as they did successfully against Arizona but struggled to do so in other games. Defensively speaking, applying pressure to disrupt Kansas City’s potent offense will be crucial; replicating their defensive performance from Week 15 would go a long way towards achieving this goal.

The upcoming game is scheduled for January 1st at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City; kickoff is set for noon local time (1 PM ET). Fans can catch all the action live on CBS as these division rivals lock horns once again in what promises to be an exciting start to the New Year.
