Broncos Set to Battle Cardinals at State Farm Stadium

As the Denver Broncos prepare to face off against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium, fans are eager to see if the team can capitalize on their previous season's performance trends and start this season with a victory.

Last season, the Broncos showcased a mixed bag of efficiency. Their red zone percentage was quite strong at 56 percent, indicating they were more than capable of converting opportunities into points when close to the end zone. However, their third-down conversion rate was less impressive at 29 percent, which might have hindered their ability to sustain drives and control the game tempo.

The rushing game was solid with an average of 4.4 yards per carry and a notable longest rush of 52 yards. This ground attack could be crucial in setting up play-action passes and keeping the Cardinals' defense guessing. The receiving corps managed an average of nearly 12 yards per catch last year, suggesting that when passes were completed, they were often for significant gains.

Defensively, Denver recorded a total of 36 sacks and snagged 15 interceptions last season. This aggressive defense will need to put pressure on Arizona's quarterback while also containing their offensive threats.

Special teams had moments of excellence as well; field goal success sat at about 78 percent with an average distance close to 34 yards per attempt. Punt returns averaged over eight yards but will need more explosiveness this year for better field position advantages.

The Broncos must reduce penalties after accumulating 113 last season and protect the ball better than they did when they fumbled it away nine times out of twenty-six occurrences.

Fans should expect a determined Denver team ready to improve upon these statistics as they step onto State Farm Stadium's turf aiming for a win against the Cardinals.
