SoFi Stadium Showdown: Denver Broncos Fall to Los Angeles Rams in Week 16

In a Week 16 matchup at SoFi Stadium, the Denver Broncos' season record fell to 5-12 after a loss to the Los Angeles Rams with a final score of 51-14. The game was marked by the Broncos' struggle on both sides of the ball, as they were unable to contain the Rams' offense and faced challenges in executing their own.

The Denver Broncos entered SoFi Stadium hoping for a positive outcome but were met with resistance from a determined Los Angeles Rams team. The Broncos managed an average gain of 5.3 yards per play, accumulating a total of 323 yards over 61 plays. Despite their efforts, turnovers proved costly for Denver, with four interceptions thrown during the game.

Denver's passing attack saw them complete 19 out of 35 attempts for a total of 259 yards through the air; however, quarterback pressure resulted in six sacks and three hurries by the Rams' defense. A bright spot was found in field goals where they had perfect accuracy, making both attempts from beyond forty-nine yards.

The rushing department contributed with an average of over five yards per carry on twenty attempts totaling up to one hundred four rushing yards; however, no touchdowns came from these efforts. Receiving numbers mirrored those on ground with nineteen receptions leading to one touchdown and eleven first downs.

Special teams had mixed results for Denver as well; while kickoffs yielded two touchbacks out of three kicks and punts averaged fifty net yards each attempt inside twenty-yard line once without any being blocked or returned for touchdowns.

On defense, despite fifty tackles including two for loss and one quarterback hit that led to an interception return touchdown by Los Angeles, there were fourteen missed tackles which allowed additional yardage after contact - something that will likely be addressed in future practices.

Looking ahead after this challenging encounter at SoFi Stadium against Los Angeles Rams where fans witnessed their team's struggles firsthand – attention now turns towards next season's preparations while reflecting upon areas needing improvement based off performances like today’s game.

The next challenge awaiting the Denver Broncos will be an away game against Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on January first at one o'clock PM Eastern Time.
