Broncos Buckle Under Raiders' Charge in Season Finale at Allegiant Stadium

The Denver Broncos, with a record of 8-9, fell to the Las Vegas Raiders, who also concluded their season at 8-9, in a hard-fought battle that ended 14-27. Despite both teams having identical records before the game, it was the Raiders who emerged victorious on their home turf.

In an intense matchup at Allegiant Stadium, the Broncos struggled to find their rhythm against a determined Raiders defense. The Broncos' offense managed to accumulate a total of 286 yards but were hindered by five sacks and one interception which contributed to their defeat. The passing game saw them gain 272 yards through the air with an average of six yards per attempt and a completion percentage of 59 percent. However, they were only able to convert four out of twelve third-down attempts.

The ground game didn't fare much better for the Broncos as they rushed for just 48 yards on twenty attempts – averaging a meager two yards per carry. Their rushing efforts did result in one touchdown but failed to consistently move the chains and keep drives alive.

Special teams had mixed results; while punting was effective with an average net yardage of fifty-one over five attempts and one landing inside the twenty-yard line, field goal kicking was non-existent as no attempts were made throughout the game.

Defensively, Denver showed some resilience by forcing three sacks and four three-and-outs against Las Vegas's offense. They also limited penalties significantly with only four infractions costing them thirty-five yards over the course of play.

Despite these efforts from Denver's defense and special teams units, it wasn't enough to overcome Las Vegas's lead or significantly disrupt their gameplay. The Raiders capitalized on key moments which ultimately led them to secure victory before an attendance crowd numbering over sixty thousand fans eager for action-packed football.

As fans look ahead after this final regular-season clash between these two rivals from week eighteen of NFL action in REG year 2023 season – they can tune into future broadcasts featuring analysis and recaps as we await what next season holds for both franchises without making any assumptions about what is yet to come.
